RAMADAN BAZAAR

It's that time of the year again!!! During the month of Ramadam, (where Muslims all over the world fast and prepare to receive the month of Ramadan with great joy and unequalled happiness) food stalls sprung up throughout the whole country in the evening to enable Muslims to "break" their fast without having to rush home to cook....
This is the first time ever....that dadda and mumsie visited one of these food bazaars to savour the wonderful smells and sights!!!
We went there to soak in the "atmosphere" of Ramadan and to get something for tea but end up buying dinner too!!!
Apam Balik
Nasi Lauk
They came arm with posters ect ect

Crsipy popiah
Nasi tomato and fried chicken
Apam beras in vibrant colours!
Cooling and refreshing colourful drinks
Asorted kuih muih

Deep fried whole chicken
This satay stall's staff wears uniform!

The food is being served hot..cos they cook in front of you

Most of the hawkers are very "friendly" they pose when mumsie brought out her camera....mumsie 'teased' them that they might see themselves on TV 3

See the amount of cooking utensils they brought!
This guy was quite upset with mumsie when mumsie only took photos of his uncooked fish...he insisted that mumsie should take photos of his "sedap bakar ikan"
Dadda was tempted to buy one of these.....

What's this???? See below

Deep fried chicken
All in all mumsie thinks that there were about 100+ stalls and all of them were crowded with people...!!!!
"Selamat Buka Puasa" to all our Muslim Friends !

Don't think apam balik is like that. Look at the pic...it is made of flour and something like steam kueh...sometimes eated with grated
coconut....Ithink
